The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook, saying heat index values of 100 are predicted Monday. There is also a chance of showers and thunderstorms on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday morning, the NWS predicts.

Storms are likely after 2 p.m. Monday. Storms Tuesday could come with heavy rain, the NWS warns. Local flooding is possible that day, the Hazardous Weather Outlook says.

Monday: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 93. Heat index values as high as 100. Calm wind becoming southwest 5 to 8 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Monday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 8pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 73. South wind 7 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tuesday: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 2pm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 89. Southwest wind 9 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
