A streak of warm weather has prompted the Newtown Athletic Club to extend its outdoor pool season. The outdoor pools were originally scheduled to close at the end of September but the club announced today the pools will remain open until at least this weekend. Daytime temperatures are supposed to hover around the low 80s through Sunday, according to forecasters.  The NAC recreation pool, for children and families, will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Sunday. The adult pool, which stays open until 11 p.m., will be open through Oct. 13. The Escape outdoor lounge will also be open through Oct. 13.
