New Details Released On Restaurant Opening At Brick Hotel

The co-owners of Rocco's at The Brick are publicly setting the record straight about the future of the restaurant. Also, they're hiring.

NEWTOWN, PA — The proprietors of a new steakhouse slated to open this winter at The Brick Hotel have released some additional details, and are publicly setting the record straight about the future of the establishment.

The restaurant area at the Brick Hotel, which is closed for renovations, will reopen in December as Rocco's at The Brick.

Co-owner Alex Mastoris, in Facebook post, is publicly setting the record straight about the future of the restaurant once highlighted in 2016 on FOX's "Hotel Hell."

“Make no mistake,” Mastoris said in a statement, “Rocco’s at The Brick LLC controls ALL of the food and beverage in the building. There are NO OTHER partners in this LLC, past or present, and no others will be on-site or involved in any aspect of the business.”

Mastoris and co-owner Mark Gelman each bring more than 40 years of experience in the restaurant industry and say they are "eager and excited" for their Newtown endeavor.

“We understand the apprehension of the residents of Newtown Borough and are committed to gaining the trust and support of our neighbors and intended friends," the statement said.

Executive Chef will be Cole Caprioni, who comes to Rocco’s at The Brick after seven years as an executive Chef for Nordstrom. Caprioni — who sums up his food philosophy in two words: "elevated simplicity" — launched and managed several Nordstrom locations, including Bazille in Paramus, N.J, Marketplace Cafe in King of Prussia, and Classic Cafe in Short Hills, N.J.

Here are more details about Rocco's at The Brick that have been released:

  • Every dish at Rocco’s at The Brick will feature fresh, sustainable produce, seafood and USDA Prime meats.
  • Seasonal menus will feature a rotating specials list, an extensive seafood collection featuring mussel pots and a cold bar as well as USDA Prime Steaks and Chops.
  • Dinner entrees will start at $19 and rise up to the finest prime steaks which enter the $40 price point.
  • The space, which seats 220 indoors and 50 outside, will be open 364 days of the year, every day except Christmas.
  • Weekday and Saturday hours will be from 11AM to 10:30PM and Sunday brunch will be served from 11AM-2PM with Dinner beginning at 4:30PM and ending at 10:30PM.
  • Complimentary valet parking will also be available every Wednesday through Sunday.
  • Rocco’s at The Brick will also host special events and private parties.

Rocco's at The Brick says it's hiring both front and back of house positions including servers, bartenders, busboys, dishwashers, prep and line cooks.
