New Indoor Cycling Studio Opens Saturday In Newtown

A new indoor cycling studio will open Saturday, Feb. 25 in Newtown.

SurroundCycle is a "premier" indoor cycling studio with the latest generation of Stages SC3 bikes, "state of the art technology" to precisely measure effort and output and concert-quality sound and lighting that "surrounds and empowers you," according to a description on its Facebook page.

The studio will be located at 36 Richboro Road, on the second floor.

SurroundCycle says it features the only round, soundproof indoor cycling studio in the country.

"In addition, the cycle room lighting programs were installed by an engineer who worked with NASA, and the German-engineered sound system was designed by one of the foremost audio experts in the world," the studio announced on its Facebook page.

The first class begins at 8 a.m. Saturday. Classes are held seven days a week at various times. Here's the schedule.

Riders must be at least 12 years old. If you're under 18, you'll need a waiver from a parent or guardian.

The studio has showers and lockers. Plus, it offers a 10 percent discount to all students, military personnel and active law enforcement.

A single class is $24. A two-class pass is $20. Other multi-class packages are offered. Click here for details.
