A new restaurant will open in the coming months on Washington Crossing Road at the property formerly known as Lavender Hall​.

A new restaurant will open in the coming months on Washington Crossing Road at the property formerly known as Lavender Hall. Greystone Fine Food and Spirits, described as a modern American restaurant, is aiming for a March opening, sources tell Patch.

Owner Brandon Smith is breathing new life into the space, also recently known as 552 Restaurant, and is preparing for its debut as a full-service restaurant with space for private parties.

Smith is a former manager at TJ Smiths in Warrington, as well as Friends Bar and Grill in Newtown, which is owned by his brother.

Smith, who purchased the property last summer, is currently working to redesign the interior of the building to give it a modern look that maintains the historic charm. The menu will have a blend of classic and modern dishes.

Greystone Fine Food and Spirits will be one of many exciting new additions to the Newtown dining scene. A new steakhouse recently began operating out of the Brick Hotel, Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar opens this week, and Turning Point has announced plans for an upcoming location in Newtown.
