New State Store Opens In Newtown Next Week

The new Fine Wine & Good Spirits state store will open next week on S. State Street. A ribbon cutting will be held Thursday at 4 p.m.

The new Fine Wine & Good Spirits state store will open next week in Newtown Borough. A ribbon cutting event will be held Thursday, Dec. 7 at 4 p.m., Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board spokesman Shawn Kelly confirmed.

The store, with more than 12,000 square feet, is the first business to open at Steeple View, a redevelopment project on South State Street.

The new Newtown store will be the seventh largest of its kind in Pennsylvania, reports the Newtown Advance.

“The new store is warmer and it’s a lot friendlier. We think it’s a place our customers will want to spend time and browse,” Kelly told the publication. “The store will have a wine specialist who will help customers navigate the 2000 wines that are in stock."

The address of the new store is 212 South State Street.

Kelly said he expects to release additional details next week about the grand opening.
