New Swing Set Planned For Veteran's Park
The Newtown Township Supervisors will consider approving funds to add a swing set to Veterans Park during a meeting Wednesday.
The Newtown Township Supervisors will consider approving funds to add a swing set to Veterans Park during a meeting Wednesday.
The $8,522 expenditure will be used to purchase a swing set to be located adjacent to the walking path towards southern portion of the park, Assistant Township Manager Micah Lewis tells Patch.
"The new structure will be visible from Noah's Playground, and is located to encourage the park's users to take advantage of the existing trails to access the swings," Lewis said.

Also on the agenda for Wednesday is a number of police promotions.
Jason Harris and Christian Joseph will be promoted to sergeant. Patrick Hardy will be promoted to corporal.
