New Winter Beer Festival To Be Held In Newtown

There's a new beer festival happening in Newtown this winter.

NEWTOWN, PA — Beer lovers of Newtown have one more thing to celebrate this winter: A new beer festival is coming in February.

Bucks Brewfest 101 is slated for Saturday, Feb. 9. The inaugural event will be held from 12:30 - 4:30 p.m. at the Linksz Pavilion of Bucks County Community College on Swamp Road.

The event, which is presented by Isaac Newton's, will raise money for Bucks County Community College scholarships. It will feature as many as 70 different drafts of all styles, according to the even website. There will also be music and food.

"The goal is to make BBF101 stand out by gathering as many independent PA breweries as possible," event organizers say on the website.

It will be a chance to sample beer made by Newtown Brewing Company, which is slated to open in 2019. Some of the other confirmed breweries include Great Barn, Neshaminy Creek, Round Guys, Sterling Pig and more.
