Newsweek Ranks Council Rock North 338 in U.S., 11th in PA
Council Rock North came in 11th in the state in Newsweek's list of the nation's top 2,000 public high schools.

Newsweek has ranked Council Rock North and South high schools among the top 2,000 public high schools in the country.
Council Rock North was ranked #338 and Council Rock South was ranked #539.
Only one high school in Bucks County—New Hope-Solebury—was ranked ahead of Council Rock North, which came in 11th in the state. New Hope-Solebury was ranked #324.

"Congratulations to both high schools and to our school community that supports our great schools," an email from Council Rock administrators said.
For its rankings, Newsweek sent out a survey to more than 5,000 high schools in the U.S., with about 2,500 schools responding in 2013. You can see the details about the Central Bucks high school rankings, and every other ranked high school by clicking on the markers in the interactive map above.

The survey scores were then weighted and calculated using several criteria including on-time graduation and college acceptance rates. In addition, instead of averaging the number of courses offered, this year Newsweek considered the percentage of students enrolled in AP, IB or Advance International Certificate courses. The final scores then determined Newsweek’s final rankings.
