Newtown 7-Eleven Robbed At Gunpoint

Breaking: The 7-Eleven on Sycamore Street was robbed at gunpoint early this morning. Suspect still at large. Surveillance video below.

The 7-Eleven in Newtown was robbed at gunpoint early Thursday.

Newtown Township police report they were called to the convenience store on Sycamore Street around 2:25 a.m. for an armed robbery involving a gun.

According to police, the suspect came into the store displaying the handgun and went right up to the sole employee, demanding cash. The suspect was inside the store for 45 seconds, police estimate, before fleeing toward Richboro Road.

Lower Makefield Township Police also responded with their K-9 unit, but the suspect was not located.

The suspect is described as a white male with blue eyes, estimated to be his 20s. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, ski mask, work-type gloves, navy blue pants with a white stripe and white sneakers.
