Newtown Arts Company Hosting Auditions For 'Beauty And The Beast'
Roles to be cast include 13 named characters and an extended ensemble. Auditions are by appointment next month.
Newtown Arts Company will host auditions for its August production of “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast” on Tuesday, March 7, and Wednesday, March 15, from 6 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday, March 11, from 1 to 5 p.m.
Auditions are by appointment only and will be held at Crossing Community Church, 80 Lower Silver Lake Road, Newtown.
Roles to be cast include 13 named characters and an extended ensemble. Auditions will consist of singing 16–32 bars of a song from the show or another musical theater show of a similar style, a cold reading from the script, and learning a short dance combination. Accompanist will be provided. No a cappella or CD accompaniment accepted, according to an announcement from Newtown Arts Company.
