Newtown Borough Council appointed a new member Wednesday night.

Nicole Rodowicz will fill the seat left vacant by Perry Warren, who was elected as state representative.

The vote to appoint Rodowicz was 5-0 and her term expires Dec. 31, 2017, the Bucks County Courier Times reported.

“I do not plan on leaving, this is my home,” she said, according to the Courier Times. "I think that if I can help guide this community, help be a part of making decisions that will grow our borough, or make it better, I’d be honored to have that position.”

Rodowicz is married with four sons and previously served as treasurer of the borough's Recreation Board.
