Newtown Boy Scouts Do a Good Turn in the Community

Once again, boy scouts from Troops 29 and 99 particpated in Newtown's "Snow Angels" program.

In the wake of the massive snowfall this weekend, scouts from Newtown’s Troop 29 and Troop 99 fanned out into Newtown Township and Newtown Borough communities to dig out residents as Snow Angels.

The scouts worked well past nightfall in bitter cold to clean off cars and shovel off walks and driveways for 25 individual Households whose owners were not up to the task for reasons related to age or health.

People who need assistance can request a “Snow Angel” by contacting Kathy Pawlenko at kathy@twp.newtown.pa.us or 215-968-2800 x239. Those wishing to volunteer can also contact Ms. Pawlenko at the same number.
