Newtown Candy Collection Drive To Support Troops, Families In Need

Community members are invited to drop off any excess Halloween candy at the Newtown Brewing Company on Penns Trail.

NEWTOWN, PA — The Kim Rock Group will again hold a Candy Collection Drive benefiting troops stationed overseas with local ties and local families in need. The collection will take place from November 1 to 3 at the Newtown Brewing Co. in Newtown.

Community members are invited to drop off any excess Halloween candy to support the initiative, which will be sending the donated candy to military personnel stationed abroad and to local families in need providing them with an extra treat during the holiday season.

To make the event even sweeter, Newtown Brewing Co. is offering a special deal. Anyone who donates candy during the drive will receive $1 off a pint of beer at the brewery.

“We’re thrilled to be able to give back to our community in such a fun and meaningful way,” said Kim Rock, team lead of The Kim Rock Group. “Our goal is to show support for our troops, who sacrifice so much, and to provide a little extra cheer to families who may need it this year.”

Event Details

  • Dates: November 1-3, 2024
  • Location: Newtown Brewing Co., 103 Penns Trail, Newtown 18940
  • Hours: 3–11 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1; 12 to 11 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2; and from 12 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 2.
  • Special Offer: $1 off a pint of beer for every candy donation
