NEWTOWN, PA — Newtown Democrats will be hosting a "Grow the Blue Wave" rally on Feb. 24 at the Temperance House. The keynote speaker will be former Bucks County Democratic Congressman Peter Kostmayer. The event will be held from 1 to 4 p.m.

“Over the past two years, the Democrats in Newtown Borough, Newtown Township and Bucks County have achieved historic victories, but we still have more to accomplish,” said George Skladany, chairperson of the Newtown Democrats. “We need to continue our success in this fall’s municipal and county elections, to set the groundwork for Presidential and Congressional victories in the 2020 election.”

Kostmayer won seven elections to the U.S. House of Representatives and went on to serve as the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Regional Director (Philadelphia) from 1994 to 1995.
