Newtown Firefighters Present Service Awards, Recognizes Top Responders

The recognition event took place at the fire company's annual summer picnic held at the fire station in Newtown.

NEWTOWN, PA —Newtown Fire Rescue on Tuesday recognized members for their service and contributions over the past year.

Brian Jennings was awarded Firefighter of the Year, Warren Dallas received the Chief’s Award, and Jennifer Gaynor was presented with the President’s Award.

The company also recognized Dallas for an incredible milestone - 50 years of active service with the Newtown Fire Association.

“His commitment and dedication over the past five decades have had a lasting impact on our department and community,” said Chief Glenn Forsyth.

The company also recognized past Chief Matt Gerhard for 25 years of service to Newtown Fire and presented him with his life membership.

Newtown Fire Rescue also honored its Top 10 Responders, the members who answered the most calls throughout the year.
