Newtown Food Truck Fest Is Sunday

The first-ever Newtown Food Truck Fest is an event you won't want to miss!

NEWTOWN, PA — Treat dad to BBQ, pizza, burgers, tacos, ice cream at more Sunday at the first-ever Newtown Food Truck Fest. The family-friendly Father’s Day event, a fundraiser for the non-profit Newtown Theatre, will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. at Council Rock North High School.

As of the forecast Friday morning, it looks like Sunday will be the better day of the weekend. The Weather Channel predicts some clouds with a high of 89 degrees and a 20 percent chance of rain.

The following food trucks are confirmed for the festival:

  • El Guaco Loco: Traditional tacos, burritos, guisados and nachos
  • Tim’s Barbecue: Slow-smoked premium beef and pork
  • Blend Life: Smoothies, hummus, grilled sandwiches and more
  • Cow and the Curd: Beer-battered Wisconsin cheese curds
  • Dump-n-Roll: Dumplings and spring rolls
  • Foolish Waffles: Made-to-order sweet and savory waffles
  • Good Food = Good Mood: Burgers, fries, truffle chips and more
  • Nomad Pizza: Fresh, local and organic wood-fired pizza
  • Phyllodelphia: Traditional Greek and Mediterranean food
  • Pie Stand: Pan-fried “handpies” stuffed with a variety of fillings
  • Nina’s Waffles & Ice Cream: Small batch ice cream and homemade Liège waffles
  • A Taste of New Orleans: Beignets and butter bonn balls
  • The Coffee Room: Nitro and cold brewed coffee

Parking for the event is a suggested donation of $10, with all proceeds benefiting the nation’s oldest continuously operating movie theatre. In addition to the food trucks, there will be music and activities. Attendees are invited to bring their own blankets or chairs.
