Newtown Food Truck Fest Is Sunday

NEWTOWN, PA — Organizers are gearing up for the Newtown Food Truck Festival, which will be held Sunday, June 9 at Council Rock North.

The event, a fundraiser for the nonprofit Newtown Theatre, will feature a variety of food trucks, a disc jockey and children's activities. It goes from 4 to 8 p.m.

This year, at least 18 food trucks are confirmed, according to information from organizers.

Culinary offerings will include everything from pizza to empanadas and ice cream.

No alcohol is permitted. Parking is a suggested donation of $10. Attendees can bring blankets and chairs. Pets are welcomed, as long as they're leashed.

As of now, the weather looks good. The National Weather Service is predicting sunny skies with a high near 81.

Council Rock North is located at 62 Swamp Rd, Newtown.
