Newtown Halloween Costume Parade Set For Oct. 30

Get ready for a Spook-Tacular Halloween Parade at the end of the month. Register online to take part in the tricks and treats in Newtown.

NEWTOWN, PA — The Newtown Borough Halloween Parade is set to be held on Oct. 30. This comes a year after the COVID-19 pandemic caused the parade to be replaced by a virtual costume contest.

The Parade will be leaving at 9 a.m. from Stocking Works, located on 301 South State St., and ending at Brian Gregg Park, located at North Congress St.

Contestants will have the chance to partake in the Costume Contest that takes place at the parade each year. The organizers of the parade have listed the costume categories that people have a chance to win in on their website. They are:

Organizers of the event are still accepting sponsors and donors to help finance the event. Businesses and individuals who donate will receive a special shout-out on the event's Facebook page and website, along with recognition at the event. Past sponsors include the Newtown Hardware House, Becky's Newtown Deli, Newtown Brewing Company, and The Zebra-Striped Whale.
