Newtown Library Company's 'Amazing Race' Event Set For April 27

NEWTOWN, PA — The Newtown Library Company will host its annual "Amazing Race" event on April 27.

The Newtown Borough adventure involves participants solving clues, competing in tasks and contests, and challenging powers of observation.

Organizers encourage residents to team up with their family and friends for a fun morning of competition. You can compete in teams of two or three people. (Children 13 and under must be accompanied by a parent or other appropriate adult over the age of 21.)

The first-place prize is $200. First-, second-, and third-place prize winners will be awarded trophies.

You must bring a cell phone with a camera to participate. The starting point of the competition is TBD.

If you register by April 20, the cost is $20 per person for library members ages 14 and older and $25 per person for non-library members ages 14 and older. The cost is $15 per person ages 3-13 (accompanied by an adult)

Registration after April 20 is $30 per person ages 14 and older and $15 per person ages 3-13.
