Newtown Man Charged With Aggravated Assault
A Newtown Twp man has been arrested on aggravated assault charges following an incident Wednesday on South Ascot Court, police said.

A 65-year-old Newtown Township man has been arrested on aggravated assault charges following an incident Wednesday on South Ascot Court, police said.
According to Newtown Township Police, David Tremoglie is also facing DUI charges for driving away from the scene while intoxicated.
The incident was reported around 5:30 p.m. Officers were called to the residence for a report of a domestic situation. When police arrived, the suspect was no longer on scene. However, soon after, officers located him driving a white Mini Cooper that he did not have permission to use, authorities said.

He smelled of alcohol and had glassy and bloodshot eyes, police said. Tremoglie failed field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence, in addition to the assault charges.
He was processed at Northampton Township Police Department and remanded to Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10 percent of $25,000 bail.
