Newtown Memorial Day Parade Set For May 30
The annual Newtown Memorial Day Parade will be held May 30.

The annual Newtown Memorial Day Parade will be held Monday, May 30.
The parade, organized by Morell Smith Post 440, will begin at the Commons West Building on Newtown-Yardley Road. Parade participants will line up at 8:30 a.m. The parade steps off at 9 a.m.
The parade marshall is Stan Mathews. Newtown Township Supervisor and post member Kyle Davis will be the guest speaker.

Additionally, on Friday, May 27, there will be a Memorial Day Service at Council Rock High School North. The service starts at 1 p.m.

- STARTING AT THE COMMONS WEST BUILDING (NEWTOWN-YARDLEY ROAD) GOING SOUTH – LEFT INTO NEWTOWN CEMETERY.
- MEMORIAL SERVICE AT MORELL SMITH GRAVESITE.
- RIGHT ON ELM AVENUE, LEFT ONTO WASHINGTON AVENUE, LEFT ON LINCOLN AVENUE, RIGHT ON CENTRE STREET, CONTINUE ON CENTRE TO LIBRARY.
- MEMORIAL SERVICE AT WORLD WAR I MONUMENT AT LIBRARY.
- RIGHT ON CONGRESS STREET, LEFT ONTO STATE STREET
- MEMORIAL SERVICE AND SPEECHES AT BOROUGH HALL.
- THE PARADE WILL CONTINUE ON STATE STREET, RIGHT ONTO CENTRE STREET, CONTINUE ONTO RICHBORO ROAD, RIGHT ON LINDEN AVENUE TO LEGION HOME.
- VETERANS WILL HOLD A MEMORIAL SERVICE AND THEN HONOR THE COUNCIL ROCK NORTH BAND
