Yay! It's that time of year again. Time for outdoor movies at Linton Park.

It's officially summer in Newtown and time for a local seasonal tradition to begin.

Movies in the Park, the borough's free outdoor movie series, starts its 2016 season Wednesday with a screening of "The Iron Giant." The movie is rated PG and gets underway at 8 p.m.

It looks like the weather will cooperate for the outdoor movie. Sunshine and highs in the mid-80s are expected Wednesday.
