Newtown Movies In The Park Announces 2016 Lineup

Organizers for Newtown Movies in the Park, the borough's free outdoor movie series, have announced this year's lineup.

Beginning June 22, movies will be screened Wednesdays at Linton Memorial Park, located at the corner of Lincoln and Penn streets. Movies start at 8 p.m.; trivia and games begin at 7:30 p.m. There is no movie Wednesday, July 6.

Here is this year's schedule:

• June 22: The Iron Giant (PG)
• June 29: Enchanted (PG)
• July 13: E.T. (PG)
• July 20: Labyrinth (PG)
• July 27: Pirates of the Carribean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (PG-13)
• Aug. 3: Star Wars: The Force Awakens (PG-13)
