Newtown Police, Firefighters Stepping To The Plate For Heroes
Proceeds from their spring charity softball game will benefit the Bucks County Heroes Scholarship Fund.
NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Firefighters and police from Newtown Township and Newtown Borough will be stepping to the plate on Friday, May 8, for heroes.
The first pitch at the charity softball game pitting firefighters from Newtown Fire Rescue against police from Newtown Borough and Newtown Township, is scheduled for 3:15 p.m. at the Newtown Middle School fields.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Bucks County Heroes Scholarship Fund, which provides full four-year scholarships for post-high school education to the children of police officers, firefighters, corrections officers, rescue squad and emergency services personnel killed or permanently disabled in the line of duty.
