Newtown Restaurant Week 2017 Kicks Off Sunday

NEWTOWN, PA — Looking to try a new local restaurant without breaking the bank? Here's your chance: Newtown Restaurant Week starts Sunday, May 7 and goes through Thursday, May 11.

According to an event flyer, participating restaurants will have a prix fixe menu featuring some of their "finest foods." The goal, according to organizers, is to give old and new customers a chance to taste their selections at a budget-friendly price.

The following Newtown restaurants are participating:

• Florentino's (18 S. State Street)
• The Brick Hotel (1 E. Washington Avenue)
• Temperance House (5 S. State Street)
• Boccaccio Restaurant (31 S. State Street)
• Cafe Con Leche (16 S. State Street)
• Becky's Newtown Deli (30 S. State Street)
• The Coffee Room (5 S. State Street, open extended hours and offering desserts from the Caketeria)
