Newtown Theatre To Host 'Black And White' Dinner On State Street Later This Month
Guests will dress in black and white and dine along State Street. The evening will be followed by a screening of "It Happened One Night."

The non-profit Newtown Theatre's first-ever Black & White Dinner will be held later this month, on Saturday, Sept. 24. The fundraiser will take place on the street outside the historic theatre from 6:30 to 10 p.m.
Guests are asked to dress only in black and white and bring everything they need for an elegant dinner under the stars, including a picnic dinner. Tables and chairs will be lined up down the middle of North State Street and guests will join others for dinner, live music, and other entertainment, according to information provided by the theatre.
Prizes will be awarded for best dressed man, best dressed woman, and best decorated table. After dinner, there will be a screening of Frank Capra’s 1934 classic “It Happened One Night” starring Clark Gable.
