Newtown Theatre Hosting Comedy Series
The series will feature three evenings of comedy at the Newtown Theatre.

A series of local and nationally-known comedians will take to the stage in Newtown as part of the Newtown Theatre's fall comedy series.
The series begins Sept. 17 with Kevin Downey Jr., Ted Daniels and Mark Riccadonna. Tickets are $20 or two for $30. This show is for mature audiences only and starts at 7 p.m.

Comedian and columnist Kevin Downey Jr. headlines clubs across the country and can be regularly heard on The Bob and Tom Show on Sirius and XM Satellite radio. Downey appears at the Comedy Stop at the Trop in Las Vegas at least four times per year and has a nationally-released DVD available on Amazon and Netflix.
Ted Daniels recently opened for Saturday Night Live’s Jim Breuer, Tracey Morgan, Rhyss Darby from HBO’s Flight of the Conchords, and Jim Carey. He is a regular at The Riviera Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Mark Riccadonna has performed comedy throughout New York City, on the road, and for U.S. and U.N. troops. Outside of comedy, Riccadonna is an accomplished actor and writer. Most recently, he has a lead role in the feature film Days of Power and writes for Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update segment.
Next up is a performance by Bob Nelson on Oct. 6 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20. This is a family-friendly show.

A contemporary of Jerry Seinfeld and Jay Leno, Nelson has performed live thousands of times at hundreds of venues, including the Las Vegas strip, Radio City Music Hall, and on Broadway. He has also had the great honor to perform at the Ford Theater in Washington D.C. for president Ronald Reagan. Nelson was Rodney Dangerfield’s opening act for eight of the most popular years of Mr. Dangerfield’s career, and he was prominently featured in two of Rodney’s enormously popular HBO standup comedy showcases.
On Dec. 8 at 7 p.m., Nick Di Paulo will perform. Tickets for that show are $25. This show is for mature audiences only.
