Newtown Theatre Plans Free Thanksgiving Evening Movie

Bring the family over to the theatre after turkey for a free screening of "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang."

NEWTOWN, PA — There's some free entertainment planned in Newtown after Thanksgiving dinner. On Thursday, Nov. 22, the Newtown Theatre will host a free showing of “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.” The movie starts at 7:30 p.m.

"The Thanksgiving-night screening at the Newtown Theatre has become a multi-generational family tradition. It’s a rare opportunity for parents to introduce their kids to some of the classics they grew up with in a setting that’s every bit as memorable as the characters on the screen," the theatre said in an event announcement.

“Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” is part of the theatre’s Classic Film Series, which is supported by Harris Comfort.
