Newtown Township Appoints New Supervisor
The Newtown Township Supervisors have voted to appoint a board member to fill the seat vacated after Jen Dix's resignation.

The Newtown Township Supervisors have voted to appoint Democrat Dennis Fisher to the board. Fisher, a former member of the township's Planning Commission who was elected as auditor this year, will fill the seat vacated by Jen Dix.
Dix, also a Democrat, resigned this summer after her family decided to move out of state. Fisher will be sworn in at the next meeting, scheduled for Aug. 8. He will serve through January 2020.
Board member Kyle Davis, a Republican, voted against his appointment.
