Newtown Township Elects New Supervisors Chairman
Kyle Davis was elected Chairman of the Newtown Township Board of Supervisors during a reorganization meeting Monday.

The vote to elect Davis as chair was 4-1, with Phil Calabro dissenting, supervisor Jen Dix tells Patch.
Ryan Gallagher was elected vice chair.

Davis narrowly defeated Democrat Mark Joseph in the Nov. 3 election. A recount that was conducted following the race determined Davis did in fact win by 19 votes.
A total of 4,189 votes were cast in the recent race for Newtown Township Supervisor.

The next meeting of the Board of Supervisors is Wednesday, Jan. 13 at 7:30 p.m.
