Newtown Troop 29 Helps Area Residents Dig Out After Winter Storm Niko
Boy scouts from Troop 29 grabbed their shovels and did a "good turn" in Newtown.
BSA Troop 29, chartered by Lutheran Church of God's Love, participated in Newtown's Snow Angel program after Winter Storm Niko.
Assistant Scoutmaster Bill Shikrallah said "We did do a tour of our addresses. Today we had David and Ray DiFiori, Joey Ferrenz, David Kunz, Alex Marcopolus and Will Shikrallah for scouts along with Mike DiFiori, Brian Ferrenz, Dave Kunz and myself. We found that a few of our addresses had already been done when we got there but we did do a couple extra neighbors houses."
Those who are interested in volunteering for Newtown's Snow Angel Program or who need assistance with shoveling because of age or physical disability can contact Snow Angel Coordinator, Kathy Pawlenko at 215- 968-2800 ext. 272 email her at kathyp@newtownpa.gov.
