Newtown Troop 99 Scouts Participate in PennDOT's Adopt-A-Highway Program
Scouts from Troop 99, which is chartered by Newtown Grant Homeowners Association, did a good turn Saturday collecting trash along Rt 413.

Boy scouts from Troop 99 in Newtown did a good turn in their community Saturday February 25th. The scouts collected trash from a 2 mile stretch of Route 413/Durham Road north of the Newtown Bypass. Participating in the clean-up event were scouts AJ Fiore, Liam Dellinger, Tony Gambescia, Matt Mannino, and Kurt Wessner as well as adult volunteers James Fiore and Tony Gambescia.
Troop 99, which shares the responsibility of cleaning up this stretch of road with Cub Scout Pack 99, has participated in PennDOT's Adopt-A-Highway Roadside Beautification program since the unit's founding in 1999. Troop 99 is chartered by the Newtown Grant Homeowners Master Association.
