Newtown Troop 99 Scouts Place Flags at Newtown Cemetery in Advance of Memorial Day Observance

The scouts, who meet weekly at the American Legion Morell Smith Post #440, installed new flags as a way of giving back to their hosts.

Boy scouts, venturers and a cub scout from Troop 99, Crew 99 and Pack 99 installed flags in the Newtown Cemetery Tuesday evening in preparation for the town’s Memorial Day Observance. The scouts, who meet each week at the American Legion Morell Smith Post #440, place the flags each year as a way of giving back to the Legionnaires who have generously hosted them for over 15 years.
