Newtown Troop 99's Andrew Cabo Earns Eagle Scout
Troop 99's Andrew Joseph Cabo, son of Dan and Kathy Cabo of Newtown, recently earned the highest rank in Boy Scouts, that of Eagle Scout.

Troop 99’s Andrew Joseph Cabo recently earned the highest rank in Boy Scouts, that of Eagle Scout.
Andrew chose to complete his Eagle Scout Leadership Service project for the Newtown Township Parks and Recreation Department after learning their Chandler Park Little League Fields needed a flagpole. He and his team of volunteers installed a 35 foot tall flagpole at the fields on Sycamore Street. As someone who intends to serve his country in the United States Air Force, Andrew feels showing respect for the flag is an important tradition at every ballfield.
Along his trail to Eagle, Andrew has served his troop as Assistant Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader, Troop Guide, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader and Senior Patrol Leader; he is currently a Junior Assistant Scoutmaster. He has attended summer camp at Ockanickon Scout Reservation many times, attended National Jamboree 2013 at the Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve and traveled to Philmont Scout Ranch with his dad and other members of Troop 99 in 2015.
