Newtown Welcome Day 2026: What You Need To Know

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — This year's Newtown Welcome Day is shaping up to the the biggest ever.

With 14 food trucks, more than 100 vendors, and a Family Fun Village, Sycamore Street will be bursting with activity on Sunday, June 14 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

"Welcome Day is going to be huge this year," said event coordinator Shighla Jackson. "We've pumped it up this year to include more food trucks and vendors and we've added a Family Fun Village for the kids. It's going to be quite amazing.".

Presented by Capital Health and organized by the Newtown Business Association, the day will unfold between Jefferson Street and Durham Road with plenty of family fun.

At the heart of the "street fair with flair" will be the more than 120 vendors featuring local artisans, crafters, nonprofit organizations, and Newtown area businesses.

"We're going to have everything you can think of," said Jackson. "We'll have handmade gifts, woodworking, lots of jewelry, little treasures, leather goods, candles, hair bows, pottery and ceramics, treats for the pets, handmade cards, crochet, cookies and candy, paper goods, and so much more."

They will be joined by a record 13 food trucks and tables including Royal Gyro, Philly Funnel Cake, Waffl'd, Harvest Seasonal Grille, Cosmic Kettle Corn, R&D Specialty Foods, Bruno (coffee), Best Darn Kettle Corn, Team Gyro, the Borscht Belt, the Little Sicilian, the Pasta Truck, and Brotherly Love Food Truck (cheesesteaks and other Philly favorites).

Family Fun Village

A brand new addition to Welcome Day this year will be the NAC Family Fun Village located on the grounds of the Goodnoe Family Homestead at Sycamore Street and Silo Drive.

The village will be packed with things to do for the kids including a photo booth, a pony from the NAC Farm, face painting, a character meet and greet, bounce house, glitter tattoos, sand art, temporary tattoos, a vertical jump and a monkey bars challenge, rubber duck game, Beauty and Braidzzz, inflatable axe throwing, Rita’s Water Ice and a Touch A Truck experience along Silo Drive.

The day will also include live performances by four bands in addition to karate demonstrations at the corner of Sycamore and Silo Drive near the Kids Village.

Live Entertainment

Entertainment begins at 11 a.m. with Gabe Parsons (folk/folk rock) followed at 11:45 a.m. with an East West Karate Demonstration and 11:55 a.m. with a Welcome Day committee presentation.

KRUNGA (Jam Band) kicks things off in the afternoon at 12 p.m. followed by World Elite Martial Arts Demo at 12:45 p.m., and Larry Saklad (folk/psychedelic) at 1 p.m.

Rounding out the day will be Yesterday's Papers (90s alternative) at 2 p.m., a World Elite Martial Arts Demo at 2:45 p.m. and SORN Presents Mamajama Jawns (classic rock) at 3 p.m.

"The day is going to be exciting and fun," said Jackson. "Come on out and do some shopping, play some games, get some great food and listen to some awesome bands. It's going to be a great day to support the community and have fun."

To commemorate the day, the NBA will be selling special event t-shirts featuring an America 250 theme designed by a student from Council Rock High School South. Proceeds from the sale of the t-shirts will benefit the art department at Council Rock South.

The event is being chaired by Christa Kusler, Rob Howell, and Greg Kramer.
