Newtown's Tenth Annual Business Expo Is This Week

The expo will showcase about 70 local businesses.

All are invited to attend Newtown Business Association's tenth annual Business Expo & Culinary Fair from 3 to 7 p.m. this Wednesday, Sept. 21, in the Brown Gym at the Newtown Athletic Club.

The expo will showcase about 70 local businesses so attendees can network with Newtown businesses. About 1,000 people are expected to come to the event, so it's a perfect way to foster business relationships.

Participating businesses will also have raffles for prizes, and the Newtown Business Association Trivia Contest will reward the winner with a $2,000 grand prize.

Restaurants such as Corner Bakery Cafe, Isaac Newtown's Restaurant, La Stalla, and Piccolo Trattoria will offer free food samples throughout the event.

The Newtown Business Association works to promote Newtown as a great place to live, work, shop and do business. They work to enhance the economic growth of the community for member businesses through networking, education, community involvement and coop advertising opportunities.

Additionally, the Newtown Business Association will hold its next monthly breakfast on Thursday, Sept. 22 from 7:30 to 9 a.m. The breakfast is hosted by The Birches at Newtown, 70 Durham Road and sponsored by The Fegley Law Firm. Georganne Ford, By George Coaching, is the guest speaker this month and will speak on “Emotional Intelligence.”

Online registration at www.NewtownBA.org will close at 12 p.m. the day prior. Attendees are asked to register to ensure adequate breakfast fare.
