No Decision on $221M Council Rock Budget

The Council Rock School Board on Thursday delayed the decision on the 2015-2016 budget until June 18.

The Council Rock School Board on Thursday postponed a vote on the 2015-2016 school budget.

Board members delayed the decision on the $221M budget until June 18 due to ongoing negotiations with the district employee groups, the Bucks County Courier Times reported.

Negotiations with the Council Rock Education Association and the Council Rock Educational Support Professional Association will be discussed at an executive session Monday, according to the publication.

If approved later this month, residents will pay an additional $44 in taxes next year on a property assessed at the district average of $38,000.

The meeting on June 18 will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the Chancellor Center.
