No Threat To Council Rock North, Newtown Middle School: District
Additional police will be at the high and middle schools, and throughout the district, even after it was determined there is no threat.

NEWTOWN, PA — Additional police will be present throughout the Council Rock School District after officials said a potential threat to two schools was investigated.
According to Superintendent Dr. Robert Fraser, Newtown Township Police alerted the district overnight to a potential threat on social media that involved Newtown Middle School and Council Rock North High School.
Fraser said the potential threat was investigated, and police determined there was never actually a threat.

However, Fraser said the district community should see additional police presences at the schools and throughout the district.
"I hope this situation has not caused undue stress in your household," Fraser said in a message to the community. "Fortunately, this situation was a false alarm. As always, student safety is our top priority."
