North State Street Closure Announced For Black And White Dinner

Beginning at 3 p.m. on Sept. 9, the street will be closed to traffic between Jefferson Street and Washington Avenue.

NEWTOWN BOROUGH, PA —North State Street will be closed between Washington Avenue and Jefferson Street on Saturday evening, September 9 due to the Newtown Theatre's Black and White Dinner fundraiser.

Beginning at 3 p.m., parking will be prohibited on both sides of North State Street in front of the Newtown Theatre. No parking signs will be posted prior to enforcement.

Also beginning at 3 p.m., North State Street will be closed to traffic between Jefferson Street and Washington Avenue. According to police, local access will be available to residents living on North State Street.

During the closure, the Jefferson Street and Washington Avenue bridges will remain open to traffic. The Newtown Borough Municipal Parking Lots will also remain open throughout the event.
