Opus Elite Presents Free "Stop The Bleed" Event In Newtown

NEWTOWN BOROUGH, PA — Opus Elite Real Estate in Newtown Borough will mark "National Stop the Bleed Day" with a free informational event on Thursday, May 25 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Opus Elite is teaming up with JMH Investigations to teach participants how to apply a tourniquet to 'stop the bleed' and make a difference between life and death during a mass casualty event.

Uncontrolled bleeding is a major cause of preventative deaths. Approximately 40 percent of trauma-related deaths worldwide are due to bleeding or its consequences, establishing hemorrhage as the most common cause of preventable death in trauma.

Light refreshments will be served. Opus Elite is located at 16 South State Street, Newtown.
