The Peace Center to Host "Tools for Dismantling Racism" on Feb. 18

Learn How to Interrupt Intolerance and Address Bias

LANGHORNE BOROUGH >> The Peace Center and the Lomax Family Foundation are offering “Tools for Dismantling Racism” as part of the center’s ongoing 35th anniversary campaign, “Speak Up For Peace” on Saturday, Feb. 18 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The workshop will take place at The Peace Center, 102 W. Maple Ave. (the corner of Bellevue and Maple avenues) in Langhorne Borough.

Participants will examine and learn: the history of racism, how to address bias, stereotypes and assumptions, interrupting intolerance and how to be an ally.

The Peace Center’s Barbara Simmons, executive director; and Gayle Evans, peace educator, will facilitate the workshop.

The Peace Center is selling signs with the words, “Hate Has No Home Here.”

The signs cost $5 each and can be picked up at the center Monday – Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The center is located at 102 W. Main St., Langhorne Borough, Pa.
