Peace Jam Concert On Sunday At Newtown Presbyterian
The free narrated concert aims to unite the community in peace while collecting donations for local food pantries.

NEWTOWN, PA — The Newtown Presbyterian Church will host a free narrated concert event titled "Peace Jam: Faith, Hope and Love in Popular Music" on Sunday, March 8.
The concert is scheduled from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at the church, located at 25 North Chancellor Street in Newtown. The event is free, but donations are welcome in support of local food pantries.
"When there is so much division and bitterness, we must focus on that which unites us," event organizers said. "Peace Jam aims to foster community connection through music, peace, and narration."

An acoustic band will perform popular songs connected with narration that will provide the backstories behind the songs or present new interpretations of them.
"The songs will remind attendees how they are connected to faith and to one another," the organizers said.

The event, which combines cultural engagement with charitable giving, is an opportunity to recommit to living peacefully with each other in the community.
