PECO Representative To Knock On 3,000 Doors In Newtown
Representative Duane Leeper will be knocking on doors to obtain access to read meters in Newtown through August, police advise.

A PECO representative will be working throughout Newtown Township reading gas meters for the next several weeks, officials announced.
Since some of these meters are located inside homes, the representative, Duane Leeper, will be knocking on doors to obtain access, according to an announcement from Newtown Township Police.
If the residents do not answer he will leave a door hanger with his name and phone number. He is not required have a solicitor’s permit issued by Newtown Police, but he does have a picture identification issued by PECO, police said.

“There are approximately 3,000 customers that he needs to visit so it is anticipated that he will be in our area up to the end of August,” according to an announcement from Newtown Township Police.
Leeper will be driving a 2004 Silver Volvo S80. Anyone with concerns should call PECO at (610) 636-4735 or have an officer dispatched to the area by calling the police’s non-emergency number at (215) 598-7121.
