Pennsylvania-New Jersey Tax Agreement To Stay

Pennsylvania residents employed in New Jersey will only be paying taxes in their home state.

The 39-year-old tax agreement between Pennsylvania and New Jersey that allows people who work in one state and live in the other to pay taxes for the state in which they live has been upheld.

State Rep. Steve Santarsiero, who has rallied to keep the agreement on behalf of Bucks County residents, called New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's decision to keep the reciprocal tax agreement a victory.

"I’m glad that hard-working taxpayers on both sides of the river won this fight," Santarsiero said in a press release. "Our collective voice won the day. Thousands of Bucks County families will be better off for it. Thank you to all those families for lending me their voice in the fight."
