Philly Man Sentenced In Bucks, Montgomery County Burglary Ring Case: Report​

Dominic Carter was sentenced to 15 to 40 years prison after pleading guilty to various felonies, reports say.

A man who was running a burglary ring in Bucks and Montgomery counties was sentenced to state prison time after pleading guilty recently, according to the Bucks County Courier Times.

Dominic Carter, 31, of Philadelphia, was sentenced to 15 to 40 years in state prison after he pleaded guilty in a Montgomery County court to various felony charges that stem from over 30 burglaries and attempted break ins, the Times reports.

In addition to prison time, Carter was ordered to pay $273,733 to the victims, who were mostly Asian Americans living in the suburban Philadelphia area, the Times reports.

Carter and his accomplices hit homes in Northampton, Lower Southampton, Lower Makefield, and Bensalem, according to the times.

In Montgomery county, Carter and his team went after homes in Whitpain, Abington, Upper Merion, Worcester, Montgomery Township, East Norriton, and Cheltenham, the Times reports.

The string of burglaries and attempted break ins began in summer 2015 and ended after Carter was arrested in February this year, according to the Times.
