Noah’s playground is the result of an effort by local residents Natalie and Jason Cohen, whose 2-month-old son, Noah, passed away from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome in 2010.
The Cohen’s raised more than $55,000 in five years through community yard sales, lemonade stands and other fundraisers to make the playground happen. Newtown’s Open Space bond allocation also helped fund the all-inclusive playground, which features a rubberized surface.
