The Pineville Tavern Expands To Philly
The popular Bucks County restaurant and tavern has expanded to Philly, and opened for business last week.

A popular Bucks County restaurant has expanded to Philadelphia.
The Pineville, an offshoot of the historic Pineville Tavern, opened last week in Philadelphia's Fishtown neighborhood. The restaurant, operated by father and son restaurateurs Andrew and Drew Abruzzese, is located at 2448 E Huntingdon Street.
The pair says their new venture "embodies the corner bar culture that was a huge part of Philadelphia’s history for the past 100 years."

The menu concept is “elevated tavern fare” and features several popular items that have been mainstays at the Bucks County location for decades. Menu items include house-made Ravioli, “Bawlmer” crab cakes, fried chicken, BBQ ribs, and the million dollar bacon burger (winner of the 2016 Burger Brawl).
The 2,500 square-foot restaurant and lounge has 25 seats at the first floor bar, 30 seats in the dining room and 30 seats in an upstairs lounge. The restaurant offers eat-in or take out at a carry out window.

According to information released by the restaurant, the second floor features a raw bar and Steinway concert grand piano. The piano is on loan from Frederick “Babe” Koslowski of the legendary Babe’s Steakhouse, which was a landmark neighborhood destination.
Esteemed architect/restaurateur Jim Hamilton of Lambertville's Hamilton’s Grill Room designed the restaurant's interior. It was his last project before passing away in February.
"His design evokes memories of an authentic Philadelphia corner bar from the 1920s," according to information from The Pineville.
The new location is open seven days a week, serving dinner Monday through Sunday, and lunch on the weekends starting at 11:00 a.m. The restaurant has a takeout window open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. serving up hand-carved sandwiches and boxes of fried chicken and ribs.
The entire menu is available during dinner at the takeout window. Beer and wine is also available for take-out. Click here to see the menu.
