Planning Underway For 2023 Newtown Holiday Parade

Behind the scenes, volunteers from community are organizing this year's march, which is one of the highlights of the holiday season.

NEWTOWN, PA — Planning is underway for this year's Newtown Holiday Parade scheduled to step off at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 3.

Behind the scenes, volunteers from the community are organizing this year's march, which is one of the highlights of the holiday season in Newtown.

Presented by the Newtown Business Association, this year's parade will again feature the Council Rock High School North and South marching bands, three Philadelphia String Bands, Hutch Hamilton and his team of Belgian horses, community groups, organizations and lots more.

The parade will form in the parking lot at the Stocking Works on South State Street. At 2 p.m., the parade will step off, marching north on State Street to Washington Avenue. At Washington, the parade will turn left, cross over the Newtown Creek and then turn right onto North Sycamore Street. The parade will conclude at Durham Road.

Parade announcers will be located at Goodnoe Corner next to the Green Parrot.

Tina Leck of Leck Waste Services is again chairing the parade for the Newtown Business Association. Committee members include Kevin Brooks, Robert Howell, Brandon Bruchini, Angelo Louridas, Neal Cohen, Dan Petty, Leah Patterson, Diane Loomis, Mick Petrucci and Colin Goodnoe.
