Police Confiscate 'Vulgar' and 'Derogatory' Signs, Teen Charged
The 17-year-old was chased by police after vulgar signs spotted on Richboro and Mill Pond roads, Newtown Township Police said.

A 17-year-old has been charged after he was seen putting up signs with ”vulgar” and “derogatory” messages around town, Newtown Township authorities say.
According to police, an officer was dispatched to the area of Richboro and Mill Pond roads around 2:45 a.m. on July 3 after a resident in that area reported seeing a sign with a “vulgar” message on it.
Police said an officer had also seen a sign with a “derogatory” message on it in that area earlier in the day. The officer confiscated the sign and retained it as evidence. Police would not disclose the messages on the signs.

When officers responded to the location, they said they found more signs with offensive messages on a nearby concrete median.
At about 3:30 a.m., an officer said he observed a white male with no shirt and black shorts walking from Mill Pond Road towards Richboro Road holding a white sign. The male then knelt down and placed the sign on the concrete median on Richboro Road, police said.

The officer began to walk towards the male, who saw the officer and began to run, police said.
The officer chased the subject and located him outside of a home on Brentwood Court. Additional officers arrived at the location and made contact with the male juvenile, whose name was not released.
Charges will be filed in Juvenile Court, Newtown Township Police said.
